Wave of Fire

Welcome back!  I hope everyone is having a nice weekend!

I will be picking 2 more winners on Monday morning who will each receive two FREE 10 x 15 inch prints of their choice!  Just subscribe to the blog on the upper right to be entered in to the drawing!

Only a couple more drawings so get your name in the running now! Good Luck!

The reason I decided to forego the standard gambling, drinking, and partying in Las Vegas this past week was to visit two beautiful Parks for sunrise.  Both Red Rock Canyon National Park and Valley of Fire State Park were absolutely fantastic.  Anyone visiting Las Vegas who even remotely enjoys the outdoors, natural beauty, or needs a break from the smoke-filled casinos should take the 30 minute and 1 hour drives (respectively, from the Vegas Strip) to visit these attractions.  Just ask your hotel concierge for specifics or do a little research on google before you take off.

The image below is the primary reason I wanted to see Valley of Fire State Park.  A bit of a hike off the “scenic route”, after you park your car, you trek along this easy/moderate path to some truly spectacular layered sandstone formations.  Seeing these literally blew me away.  For someone like me who is obsessed with rich, beautiful colors, the fire wave area was just perfect.  I also included a Facebook cover photo for you to use if you like!  Enjoy!

Thanks for visiting!  Don’t forget to subscribe to get in this Monday’s drawing!
