Kölner Dom at Blue Hour

Last night I spent a fantastic evening with my dad and his friend at the Hollywood Bowl.  There is something truly special about watching brilliant musicians (LA Phil Harmonic) while sipping some Tuscan wine, crickets chirping in the woods behind, the temperature a cool 70 degrees.  Tonight I am going to see Crosby, Stills, and Nash at the Greek Theater; another awesome evening!

Visiting the city of Cologne has been on my list for years, and I finally got to visit during my last road trip through Germany a few weeks back.  After I arrived, found some parking for my rental, and checked in to my hotel, I set out to explore.

When the sun went down and a magical blue hour commenced, Cologne really began to shine.  While walking past the Kölner Dom (Cologne Cathedral), I saw these two scenes in front of me just begging to be captured.  Its always fun shooting in a foreign city because of the people.  People always end up stopping by while I shoot, engaging in conversation and asking interesting questions.  It is really neat to connect with a total stranger in a new, exciting country.  Anyways, just some thoughts… Enjoy!

Thanks for visiting and have a great weekend!
