Lonely Fishing Boat

Thanks for all the awesome feedback on yesterday’s post focusing on vanishing points!  I enjoyed writing up the post and I hope you guys learned something from reading it.

Does anyone have any interesting plans this weekend??  I might go see a couple of the islands off of Naples or drive the Amalfi Coast one last time… We’ll see.

Today I am reaching back a few months and sharing another image from Aci Trezza, Sicily that slipped through the cracks in to archive purgatory and never got posted.  After shooting the blue hour and sunrise over the wonderful rock formations in Aci Trezza, while walking back to my hotel along the water, I noticed this fishing boat floating all by itself.  The colors were so vivid and the water was so clear, I spent a good 10 minutes trying to compose the shot just right.  After thinking I finally had it I headed back to the hotel to get some rest.

When I returned to Naples to process all of the photos, this one stood out as one of my favorites.  Something to do with the crappy weather and colorless atmosphere mixed with those vibrant colors of the fishing boat really spoke to me.  What do you think?

One last thing – Don’t forget to subscribe to the blog on the upper right column!!  Not only will you be entered in to the weekly drawing for free prints that I do every Monday morning, but you will get beautiful photos emailed to you daily!  This way you will get to experience my adventures in Asia (Starting Oct/Nov 2012) as soon as I share them!  What could be better?  :)

Thanks for visiting!  Don’t forget to subscribe!

  7. I really like this shot too Adam. I think it is the vibrant colours of the boat and I like how clear the water is that you can see the rocks on the bottom.
