Orvieto’s Opera House

The week is finally over and I am slowly exploring options for this weekend.  As much as I need to stick around and engage in some household organization in preparation for my move next month, my free spirit is aching to get out and explore.  I found a few neat little rivers and hikes (as well as an abandoned medieval city) in Cilento National Park that I might try to check out.  We shall see.

Today I wanted to give you a private little tour of Orvieto’s Opera House.  My mother and I took a day trip up north to see the medieval town and its many beautiful attractions.  Located in the center of town was the hidden-in-plain-sight theater.  We were kind of in a rush so I didn’t bother with the tripod.  Shooting at relatively high ISO’s, I was able to capture most of the vivid detail with only minimal noise – another awesome perk that comes with the Nikon D800.  The Opera house was almost completely devoid of other tourists, giving us free run of the place.  Enjoy!

Don’t forget, subscribe to the blog on the upper right column to be in the running for Free Prints!  Next drawing is Monday Morning!  Have a great weekend!

Thanks for visiting!
