Yesterday I headed out an hour before sunset to what I thought would be a promising shooting location according to Google Maps. Boy was I wrong… Overun with trash, hazard signs and yellow tape, I was a bit dissapointed, and began to think of alternatives. I turned my attention to the seawall protecting Monte di Procida harbor, since the end of it overlooks the islands of Procida and Ischia (Ischia in the background).
After arriving, I was very pleased with my backup choice. I had to carefully climb down about 30 feet of big seawall rocks until I found a spot to camp out with and wait for the color show. Even though the sky has been cloudless for weeks now, I like how the shots came out. Let me know if you have any questions in the comments!
Both single exposures on Nikon D7000.
Thanks for visiting!! Check back tomorrow!

the first one I like best, love the rocks in the front
Thanks Chantal!!!
Great shots, Adam.
I like the serenity of the first shot and the softness of the second. Excellent!
Very nice shots Adam, I especially like the colors in the second shot.
Both excellent images Adam. The second one is my favorite with the great colors and composition.

That’s very cool man. Love the play of light off the water in the first shot.

I particularly like the first one with the water spray and the long light reflection.

Love these shots! The D7000 has such huge dynamic range! If Canon doesn’t do something soon, I’m switching. Wonderful images!
