Stars over the Stones

Here is another photo from this weekend’s Sweden trip to compliment yesterday’s.  In Southern Sweden there are these awesome Neolithic Ruins called Ale’s Stones (Ales Stenar).  Formed in the shape of a ship, they are thought to be burial stones for the ship’s captain and crew (I think that is still being debated).  The ruins are on a moderate hill overlooking the ocean.  I took tons of photos during the sunset that I will post in the next couple days.  This particular shot was taken after the sun had set.  I did not modify the color at all, this is what it actually looked like (the glow is from the city behind the ruins)!  I did some light painting with the small flashlight I brought along (you can see the grass and stones look like they were slightly lighted).  Anyways, let me know what you think!!

Thanks for visiting!!

  3. Wonderful shot Adam! The stars are magnificent but the way the light from the city transitions from orange to purple is amazing. Nice job with the light painting as well, my attempts have not turned out so well.
