First off, thanks for all the wonderful feedback on Monday’s Post. I really appreciate the visits and comments. You guys rock!
Yesterday I rushed home after work to catch the sunset, since it was the first time in a while there were actually clouds… By the time I got home, the majority of the sunset was over, but I was able to grab my gear and get out to the pier in front of my house for a few captures. Here is a 30 second exposure I ran through Silver Efex Pro.

Every night these two are out on the seawall waiting for a bite on their lines. I thought it would make a nice addition today. I purposely kept it dark to convey more mood.
Thanks for visiting. posting will most likely resume Monday after I return from Sweden. Have a great weekend!!

Very nice pictures!
/Victoria from Sweden
Thanks Victoria! I will have Sweden picture after this weekend to post!
I like them both, for different reason, B&W makes a strong image, color a warm one
Thanks Chantal, I agree!
Nice shots Adam. Lots of drama in the first one and great mood in the second one.

Love that B&W, Silver Efex has it going on.
Great shot.
Being a fisherman, I can totally relate to the 2nd wonderful shot you have here today. Wonderful scene.
Safe travels, my friend!
Thanks buddy! Hopefully I will have some killer shots from Sweden. Literally 4 days and nights of shooting. Bringing 4 batteries, battery pack, 4 memory cards, 2 cameras, 4 lenses and tons of caffeine!

These are great Adam. I really like the processing and B&W tones in the first image.
Grazie Steve!
Looks great Adam! I love the cloud movement, it actually looks like they are streaking across the sky in the shot! Cool capture of the two fisherman too!
To answer your question, an S Curve will allow you to add more contrast to a scene with more precise control. You can add an overall one (like I normally do), or do one for blue, green, or red. In Photoshop it is under Adjustments–Curves. You will see a graph with a straight light going from the bottom left to the upper right. In its simplest form, you just make an S with the line to give your shot some more contrast!
That’s awesome! I believe I have that in lightroom as well. I’ll try it out. I’ll catch up to your blog Monday! Have a great wknd!
Love the B&W Adam. Great image. I think you’ve conveyed the mood of the fisherman really well in the second shot.

Sunset was the prettiest view in a day aside from sunrise. It always been my inspiration that in every sunset means there is always hope.
