If you get a chance, please vote for my photos in the 2011 American Photo Images of the Year Contest located here. I would really appreciate it!!
Last weekend, in addition to hiking the wonderful Cinque Terre, I also had the opportunity to spend an evening in Milan before the wedding festivities began. Milan is completely different than other Italian cities like Florence, Rome, and Venice, being the Italian center of fashion, commerce and industry. With that said, it is still an amazing place to visit. Below are some of the shots I tok while wandering around the city center that evening. Enjoy!
The two pictures below are of the famous and stunning Duomo di Milano. This is the second time I have visited Milan and this cathedral never ceases to amaze me. It is by far my favorite church in Italy.
Directly next to the gothic cathedral lies the Galleria Vittorio Emmaneule. A spectacular sight, it is almost identical to the arcade in Naples. I started shooting here right as the sun was going down and they had just switched on the lights.
The following shots are of Milan Fountain (pretty creative name eh?) and Sfozesco Castle. I heard the nickname for this fountain translates to “Wedding Cake Fountain”, but who knows… This took like 10 attempts because my tripod and camera are obviously too small for people to notice and not walk in front of
I hope you enjoyed! Don’t forget to vote for my photos! Thanks!

Lovely shots Adam! That b and w of the cathedral is very nice
Just beautiful Adam.
Adam, Really dig these shots. Each one of them show the scale and the grandeur of the place. Nice angles, lighting and processing.

Great series Adam. Love the all of the detail throughout these images.
Dude, these are AWESOME! And having just returned from Milan, I am extra nostalgic, which makes them seem even awesomer.
Thanks Beth!! I look forward to seeing some of your shots!!
If you include the time you were 8 and you visited Milan, it is 3 times. I did not see any pigeons trying to bite you. I also love Milan, too bad more Americans do not visit that city.
how do you take such good picks
