Tailless Monkeys Raid our Hotel Room!

We had just devoured another amazing European buffet breakfast at the Rock Hotel in Gibraltar and were on our way back to our room.  When we opened the door, sitting on the chair, munching on our crispy potato chips was a fluffy little monkey – his friend standing watch near the open window (we didn’t exactly expect monkeys to raid us!).  Our eyes locked for a few seconds, I fumbled with my camera (settings from the previous night still activated – stupid me), and he quickly jumped from the chair to the ground to the bed to the window and was off.  Well, not exactly.  He proudly sat on the balcony below devouring our tasty chips, every so often turning his furry little head to shoot us a guilty look.

Here is a close-up.

How could you get angry at something so cute?? Just wait…

After we finished packing, and the monkey finished eating, the second encounter occured.  Thinking he was the dominant party, the monkey jumped on up and invited himself in once again.

On the window checking that the coast is clear…

over the bed…

and back to his rubbish pile. So, you found what you started earlier? Yes, I cleaned up your mess… Sweet dainty pinky finger, monkey…

What’s that little guy, you want to read today’s paper? Here you go…

And you’re thirsty?! Sheesh, so many demands… OK, have some Coke Zero…

Oh man, not the chocolate! I was bringing that back to Naples! Ugh, monkey, you are really starting to become bothersome…

And can you please put that unpleasant thing away? You know what i’m talking about.  I don’t even want to know the last time you washed that… when are you going to leeeaave…?

Yes, I see you.  Its called a mirror.  Neat huh.  Now go away.

Ok, get away from the bag.  That’s my personal stuff.  Don’t even think about it monkey…

That’s it!  Out!  Go monkey!  No, that cute little puppy face won’t work.  Out.

Ugh, gross little monkey – go wash that thing! And you’re welcome for the hospitality…

Well, there you have it, our exciting morning with the brave little primate.  Hope this brought a smile to your face! Hit the Stumbleupon button below for me if you liked it! Thanks for visiting!

Great story. The worst I had was salamanders. My wife would have been going nuts if I was taking photos of it.

lol. I don’t like monkey. Last time in Thailand one of them bit me in the arm to get my gummy bear. He got them, went up the tree and threw them on me, krrrrr.
